Monastery Bookkeeping was founded by a husband-and-wife duo who, quite literally, run their home based on spreadsheets. Brad is a career bookkeeper. Vanessa brings a sharp eye for numbers and metrics from years of strategic operations work. Together, they turned their shared love of financial clarity into a business that helps others feel more confident about theirs.
Bookkeeping is how they think, how they plan, and how they make decisions. They believe that every number tells a story, and their job is to make sure it’s a story you can understand and act upon.

Brad has been providing bookkeeping services across a variety of industries including hospitality, multi-family housing, and retail sales for over 20 years. In 2015, he returned to school to pursue further education, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Since launching Monastery Bookkeeping with his wife, Vanessa, in 2022, Brad has worked to combine his extensive experience with his formal education to better serve the clients of Monastery Bookkeeping.
Brad strives to provide clarity to clients on how to properly classify a wide variety of transactions throughout the year, and maintains effective communication with tax professionals to ensure that all parties’ best interests are met in a legal and professional manner.
Vanessa’s professional experience has provided her with a strong foundation for helping her clients. Her ability to focus on customer service while managing multiple priorities, combined with her willingness to revisit and improve processes, makes her a valuable asset to the business. Additionally, her prior experience working for a CPA firm has greatly benefited Monastery Bookkeeping’s operations.
Vanessa has a wealth of first-hand experience both dealing with and analyzing various metrics, which she is able to leverage for better performance for both Monastery Bookkeeping and clients.
